LOST DOG TRACKING

As part of a volunteer network of dedicated dog lovers, we aim to assist in the search for lost canine companions. The common misconception is that we will find your dog, which we might, but we will also provide valuable information about the areas of interest, or areas to discount for additional searching. At Southern Counties Lost Dog Tracking, we work alongside other Lost Dog organisations, and can reach out to those that include the use of ground searching and drone searching.

Operational teams must complete a 3 Level training and qualification process. Part of the training, and operational, process is to 'Buddy' operational teams on both training and live searches. As a very active and physically demanding activity, it is important our dogs are in peak condition to carry out this role.

Atlas is currently scheduled to complete his Level One in April 2025.

Arnhem is an honorary member of the team and provides track laying services.

This activity not only provides assistance for owners and lost dogs in a time of need and stress, but it also provides a much loved outlet for our working dogs, further enhancing our bonds.

Operational

When attending an operational call out to assist, we will often be collaborating with ground search teams, and drone search teams.

We require an item of the lost dog, such as a bed or collar which our dogs will use to odour match.
